I think Moshman's HU book is about the only thing on the market book-wise for specifically heads up play, and it's a HU SNG book. No, consider your experience to be none at all imo. I came in 3rd in a 10cent tourney winning 40$ though recently(first try, I dono how much of that was luck)Īny more suggestions for heads up? Im liking heads up over the others. But other than that Im fairly new to poker. I went up to about 150-200 but then lost it at higher tables. Should I skip any of these books if I have some experinece? for example I depoisted 100$ a year ago, but lost it. Just loosen ranges for HU, tighten for FR. On that note, I've read and would recommend, probably in order of something likeĪs Moshman's HU book wasn't very well received, and Gordon isn't really regarded as a very good player or author.Īs far as HU play, The Poker Blueprint is intended for 6 max audiences, but what you can learn in it is applicable to heads up and full ring for that matter as well. Not talking about like turbo sit n go tournaments here, I'm talking about tournaments that have a significant amount of deeper stack play like regular speed MTTs. If you are just starting out in poker, I'd personally recommend starting to learn to play 100 big blind cash games to give yourself solid fundamentals on deeper stack play that will be applicable to early blind levels in tournaments.
